A former commander of the UK's air and space warfare centre will provide findings next month on how the government-funded institute can best support the extent of national AI objectives in defense, homeland protection and information gathering.

The center's head, a former Amazon UK boss, confirmed that multiple research initiatives at the 440-staff institute have been terminated, transferred out or completed because they aren't consistent with the fresh focus.
