Arsenal's Debated Partnership Agreement with Visit Rwanda Is Ending In the Upcoming Season
Arsenal Football Club has confirmed that its contentious sponsorship partnership with Visit Rwanda will terminate in June of next year.

The partnership, reportedly valued at around ÂŁ10m per year, began in 2018 and has since faced significant scrutiny.
This criticism arises from accusations of Rwandan assistance for the M23 rebel group in continuing hostilities in the eastern region of the bordering Congo.
Months ago, Arsenal faced allegations of committing a disrespectful act to the authorities in Congo by declining to meet with the DRC's foreign minister to discuss the partnership.
Partnership Structure and Objectives
Visit Rwanda functions as a division of the the country's development agency, which is a government department.
It is widely believed that Arsenal signed and maintained this partnership primarily to expand their following across the continent.
Nevertheless, the partnership has now terminated after both parties “jointly decided” to part ways.
“Together, Arsenal and the Rwanda Development Board have surpassed the original goals of the partnership – supporting environmental protection and sustainable tourism, motivating countless fans to visit the nation, and creating a lasting foundation for visitor increase,” declared an club announcement.
The statement continued that the partnership has also aided Rwanda's ambition to become an global sports center in Africa and welcome more worldwide tournaments while executing local football projects that have helped hundreds of young players and coaches improve their techniques and inspire greater participation in athletics nationwide.

Around that time, Paris Saint-Germain extended their sponsorship arrangement with Visit Rwanda through 2028.
Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid signed a fresh deal for the identical duration that has resulted in the emblem appearing on the La Liga side's male and female kits.
